The Messiah was Always Hip to Me
"Jesus 2000". Rémi Bastie, Jean-Baptiste Cumont, Clément Desnos, Jonathan & Nicolas Djob Nkondo Pegon produced this animation for Wizz. These guys are from the Gobelins School of Visual Communication in Paris. so much talent from there.
i love how they tell the story of Jesus through hipster culture. there's a lot of detail in here that you might miss the first time you watch it. from the 3 wise hipsters, to the "holy drink", to the to moonwalking on water, to the "hat of thorns" that ultimately leads him to the resurrection is so well thought out and done. music is pretty cool too. love the "Son of God" synthesizer.
